Description
Banana Punch is 55% indica, 45% sativa, and was bred by crossing Banana OG with Purple Punch – two strains out of the top drawer. Phenotypical selection results in a strain with high yields, even flowering times and high potency.
Banana Punch is a sturdy and versatile strain that grows well in different grow-media and with a range of cultivation techniques. Indoor plants grow to be about 110 cm. tall by maturity with excellent yields of 600 – 650 gr/m2 in 60 – 65 days of flowering.
Outdoor cultivation results in much bigger plants that grow as tall as 200 cm. Harvest is ready in the last two weeks of September in the northern hemisphere with each plant quite capable of providing up to 1500 gr. The wonderfully vibrant display of blue and purple colourations so evident with Purple Punch carry over into the Banana Punch strain especially with those plants grown outddor where the drop in temperature during the night is that much greater than is typically the case indoors.
Scents and flavours are of tropical and citrus fruits with a strong, sweet banana quality. The dominant terpenes are limonene, myrcene and caryophellene. TRHC production reaches as high as 26% while CBD is low at 0.5%. The result is a highly potent cannabis strain with a balanced effect.
